It is essential that you have medical insurance that will cover you while abroad.  Consider the various insurance options and choose a plan appropriate to your needs, but be sure you will be covered at all times during your stay.  In those cases when one is not covered, a rider can be purchased for an additional fee.  All students should bring a copy of their policy with them and insurance claim forms, in addition to their insurance card.
